Our Commitment To Sustainable Ski Holidays In Courchevel

Alpine Escape’s chalets are located in the beautiful ski resorts of Courchevel and Meribel in the French Alps. We recognise that we have a responsibility not just to our team and our guests, but also in keeping our home – your holiday destination – a beautiful place to be.

Our commitment to sustainability

We are constantly trying to find ways to reduce our waste and minimise our environmental impact. Here are some of the actions we have taken so far:

  • To avoid disposable water bottles, when you arrive in your chalet you will be given your own refillable water pouch to fill up with pure alpine tap water during your stay, and to take home with you afterwards.
  • Coffee – we know that our guests enjoy a really good coffee (as do we in the office!) so we are gradually changing our Nespresso pod machines to bean-to-cup machines and using fair trade coffee beans.
  • You won’t find a resort information folder any more, but all the information you need is accessible via a QR code displayed in the chalet, eg. wine list, maps, restaurants, resort information…
  • Instead of supplying disposable slippers for each guest, you can either help yourself from the chalet basket, or better still: bring your favourite pair from home.
  • We have switched to refillable bathroom products, and have chosen the gorgeous brand Bramley as our supplier.
  • Giving back: in the last years we have donated to War Child, BBC Children in Need and Red Nose Day. We have also recently participated in local community action such as sending supplies to Ukraine as well as helping fund a skate bowl project for local kids.
