Le Praz Village - Courchevel

LE PRAZ VILLAGE

Imagine rooftops blanketed in snow, fairy lights twinkling in the trees and elegant restaurants set among rustic cobbled streets… Courchevel Le Praz is pretty as a picture.

The vibe in Le Praz is that of an authentic mountain resort with homes and chalets mingled together creating a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. The many French tourists and locals who live in Le Praz, mean that you’re more likely to need your ‘bonjours’ and ‘mercis’ than elsewhere in Courchevel.

There are lovely places to enjoy a civilised coffee, a lingering lunch or a glass of wine or two. There’s also regular live music, and a sports bar. You’re spoilt for choice on the restaurant front with some excellent options for the chalet night off.

You can’t fail to notice the Olympic torch and towering ski jumps in Le Praz. Constructed for the Albertville 1992 Winter Games, they’re a great focal point and you can often see the athletes in training.

Le Praz is also home to some lovely cross-country ski routes with gentle gradients. If you’ve never tried ‘Ski de Fond’ before, and would like to take a morning or afternoon to have a go. We’d highly recommend it for the opportunity to appreciate the mountain setting at a more peaceful pace. Our concierge can help you to organise this during your stay.
