Non-Skiers

Winter mountain holidays don’t always involve strapping planks to your feet and going hell-for-leather down a snowy hill!

Snow Holidays for Non Skiers

There are many ways to enjoy the beautiful scenery at a much slower pace. Many of our guests enjoy snow-shoeing through tranquil forests, spotting animal tracks and snapping away with a camera. We can put you in touch with a snowshoe guide if this is of interest.

Pedestrian lift passes are a great value way to access the peaks and meet up with others in your group at a mountain restaurant. Using the free buses to travel between the different levels of the Courchevel valley, it’s easy for non-skiers to access the different lifts and go on a snowy adventure! Ask our concierge for recommendations whilst you’re in resort and reserve your pedestrian pass in advance so that it’s ready and waiting for your arrival.

Aquamotion (The Courchevel Centre Aquatique) located between Courchevel Village and Moriond is also a spectacular space to spend a day. It has a 25m swimming pool with lanes, a children’s water fun area, a heated indoor and outdoor leisure pool, diving boards, rapids, and slides. The slides include the canyon water slide that takes you on a fast and furious 110m descent and you can try the racing slides that allow three people to go at once. This impressive building also contains a wellness space, a surfing pool, a beauty treatment area as well as indoor climbing walls.

There are many other activities on offer aside from skiing. A hot air balloon rises regularly from the altiport in 1850 and floats up to the peaks with incredible views. Another way to see the mountains from the air is tandem paragliding with a qualified instructor, which is a popular activity from the top of La Tania’s La Loze.

Closer to the snow, you could try a ride on a piste basher up near the Altiport, or maybe try your hand at driving a snowmobile. Dog-sledding is a magical way to whizz through the forest. Or try the new ultimate toboggan runs in Courchevel Moriond – Moriond Racing and in Meribel – Mission Black Forest, both are over 3km long with twists and turns to test your sledging abilities.

In both 1850 and Meribel you’ll find ice-rinks which are open in the afternoons, as well as climbing walls and bowling alleys. There’s a cinema which has showings in the afternoon on bad weather days, or you could simply enjoy wandering around and enjoying the shopping and ambience of resort life.

Our concierge can recommend and book any activities for you during your stay.
