A FRESH OUTLOOK IN COURCHEVEL MORIOND…

An informal New England vibe gives Chalet Mollard a fresh, new outlook on chalet life.

Located in a pretty setting within 3 minutes of the lift station and the bustling bars and restaurants of Courchevel Moriond (formerly Courchevel 1650), the chalet is absolutely perfect for groups of up to 10 guests who are looking for a chic self-catered chalet with access to world-famous ski slopes.

A secluded Nordic-style wooden hot tub is nestled under the eaves of the upper balcony, providing a romantic spot in which to relax as the sunset colours fade from the valley skies… A terrace surrounds the ground floor living space, providing plenty of opportunity to soak up some rays, or enjoy a drink and a nibble before your meal. If you’re in need of creature comforts, snuggle up in front of the log burner on the gorgeous linen sofas – heavenly on a snowy day – or tuck yourselves away in the TV corner with a beer to watch a movie, or hang out in the TV den below.

Sleeping 10 guests, the chalet has five bedrooms decorated in beach-house pastel blues. There are three doubles, a bunk bed room and a room which can be configured to either as a double or twin, depending on your needs. All rooms have ample storage and boutique-style home furnishings. There are four bathrooms with either shower or bath and – as always in an Alpine Escape chalet – Egyptian cotton bed linen is provided as well as fluffy towels, robes and natural botanical bathroom products from British brand, Bramley, and an Albus & Flora SPF lip balm.

The large, modern kitchen is a great spot for culinary creatives to prepare tasty treats for the group, and is well-equipped with plenty of pots, pans and crockery to make catering easy. There are two well-stocked supermarkets in the village centre. Our self-catered service includes a concierge and welcome pack with washing-up kit.

If you prefer to try out one of the numerous local restaurants, then Courchevel Moriond has a huge selection. Don’t miss your chance to try a traditional Savoyard fondues or raclette! There are also some great options for foodies: try Cucina Angelina, Angela Hartnett’s fabulous Italian, or the Himalayan-themed Manali hotel which has a smart restaurant with a great menu. Venturing further afield for Michelin-star food, woodfire-cooked steaks or sushi and seafood is easy using the free buses which run regularly until late at night. At the end of your day on the slopes of Courchevel, simply pop your equipment into one of the chalet’s heated lockers next to the lift station. Swap your ski boots for shoes and your helmet for a beanie, and you’re all set for après-ski drinks! Try the sun terrace at L’Alambic for Belgian beers, a vin chaud at Le Schuss bar or indulge in a gourmet hot chocolate whilst wrapped in a furry blanket at Fire and Ice at the foot of the Belvedere piste.

The resort of 1650 Moriond is a top resort for those travelling with children, with plenty of activities close at hand to add to the ski holiday experience. A recently-developed nursery slope and magic carpets in the mid-station is a brilliant place for learners, with the Indiens teepee making a great stop-off for little ones.

For bigger kids (and really big kids!) a gigantic toboggan run takes you flying round hairpins and through tunnels, from the top of the bubble lift right down into resort.

The Aquamotion swimming centre and spa is a stroll or short bus ride away and is highly popular with non-skiers or those with bucket loads of energy! There’s also a seriously cool climbing wall which is popular with youngsters.
